Our energy balls

Internally, our Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Gabrielle, LOVES to go hiking. Her favourite snack? Energy balls. So we came up with a recipe that's full of protein, super delicious and pretty simple, thanks.


Ingredients:

Basis : 

  • 1 cup of pitted dates
  • 1 cup of oatmeal 
  • 1/2 cup of nuts and/or seeds of your choice (almonds, cashews, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, flax seeds, etc.)
  • 1/3 cup dried fruit 
  • 2 tbsp. water if needed 

Mocha : 

  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips 
  • 2 tbsp. coffee caramel
  • 1 tbsp. cocoa powder (for garnish)

Matcha : 

  • 1/3 cup white chocolate chips 
  • 2 tbsp. butterscotch
  • 1 tbsp. brown sugar (for garnish)
  • 1 tbsp. cinnamon (for garnish) 

Preparation: 

  1. In a large bowl of hot water, place the dates and soften them.
  2. Cut the dates roughly.
  3. In a blender, add the dates and nuts. 
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients
  5. Form the mixture into balls
  6. Place the balls in the fillings
