Beignets La Lichée

What could be better than a dozen donuts and a caramel glaze? We've got a huge crush on this recipe. First because our donuts are so cute, and second because the caramel glaze is DELICIOUS. We suggest you kill three birds with one stone and try the coffee, butter and chocolate one.

Ingredients : 

  • 1 egg
  • 2/3 cup of sugar 
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 
  • 1 ¼ cups of white flour 
  • 1 tsp. baking soda 
  • ½ cup caramel 
  • 2 tbsp. milk 

Preparation: 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°Fand grease doughnut pan .
  2. Whisk together the egg, sugar and oil. 
  3. Add the flour, baking soda, buttermilk and salt.
  4. Pour the mixture into a piping bag and pour into the moulds. 
  5. Bake for 8 minutes and carefully turn over with a fork and return to the oven for 3 minutes. 
  6. Allow the doughnuts to cool 

Icing La Lichée : 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup of powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup caramel
  • 2 tbsp. milk 

Preparation: 

  1. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients.
