Chocolate and caramel fleur de sel tarts

We present you with THE recipe to try for the holidays! This dessert, made with our favorite caramel, the caramel fleur de sel, is very greedy and will please the sweet tooth! This dessert is hearty, which makes it easy to share around a Christmas table.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs 
  • ¼ cup of cocoa powder
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • 3 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1 jar of La Lichée flower of salt caramel
  • ½ cup chopped almonds
  • ⅓ cup of 35% cream
  • 1 La Lichée caramel fleur de sel chocolate bar cut into pieces
  • A few raspberries for decoration
  • 3 moulds of 5 inches in diameter

    Steps

    1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
    2. In a large bowl, combine bread crumbs, brown sugar, cocoa powder and melted butter and mix. 
    3. Add mixture to each foil pie shell and press into a crust.
    4. Place tarts on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes, then let cool.
    5. Pour caramel into each tartlet so that they are almost full, and sprinkle with a few chopped almonds.
    6. Place tarts in freezer for 10 minutes.
    7. In a saucepan, bring the cream to a boil, then remove from heat.
    8. Add the chocolate bar pieces to the caramel fleur de sel, and whisk to obtain a smooth mixture. 
    9. Remove the tarts from the freezer, and place the cream and chocolate mixture on top of each tart.
    10. Sprinkle the tarts with the almonds and add some raspberries.
    11. Enjoy!
